Roberto Milan

Sculptor Roberto Milan, based in his native Udine, Italy, grew up immersed in the family’s wood sculpture workshop, founded in 1928, where he developed a deep passion for the craft. This early exposure to the potential of wood sculpting profoundly shaped his artistic direction. Milan, a contemporary mixed-media artist, combines antique woodwork techniques with modern forms and concepts, focusing on patination, gilding, and surface care. His work has been showcased internationally, with pieces in locations such as Trump Towers (FL, USA), the Coral Princess cruise ship, and churches in Canada and Congo. Milan’s recent projects include a collaboration with Acqua di Parma, where he sculpted works for their fragrance collection. His sculptures, particularly the “Totem” series, blend wood with Murano glass and bronze, evoking cosmic energy and the connection between man and earth.
