Victor Chiarizia
Since 1975, Victor Chiarizia has been experimenting with various glassmaking techniques, including blowing, flameworking, casting, etching, and sandblasting, to create pieces that explore themes of life, growth, and renewal. Drawing on his Italian-American heritage and boundless imagination, his work merges earthy and surreal elements. His celebrated series, such as The Botanicals, features intricate vines, blossoms, and human shapes, accentuated with layers of enamel, while Legends and Icons incorporates cast glass and rich cultural symbols. Chiarizia is also skilled in the Venetian Incalmo technique, crafting vessels adorned with striking bands of color. Renowned for his technical mastery, organic forms, and vibrant palettes, his work is displayed in prestigious galleries across the United States.
