Maria Paulina Troncoso
Renowned Chilean artist Maria Paulina Troncoso finds inspiration in her life at sea with her husband, world renowned sailmaker for the historic tall ships. Born into a family of sailors, Maria Paulina’s paintings are full of her experience at sea, the light, the glow, the tensions, and the rhythm of the waves. Her collectors can appreciate the special feelings that only a life of bonding with the sea can bring. Included in Maria’s collection are several pieces that she painted directly on the retired sails of the great ships.
Today Maria’s paintings lean toward expressionism with color as the main feature. Troncoso’s works are found in numerous private collections throughout Chile, Spain, Morocco, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and many other countries. In each composition the viewer feels Troncoso’s message of the force and power of nature in the sea.
